About Me

My name is Caryn. I went to school for graphic design and I currently work as a marketing manager at a small business. I’ve always been passionate about communicating ideas and I believe that’s what drew me into design in the first place. I am happily married to a would-be carnivore, Seth (whom you can see in the picture to your left). I also enjoy watching good movies, winning games, cooking for friends and planning parties. Seth and I have established ourselves as the champions of Halloween parties.

We’ve been married going on five years now and from day one it’s been an interesting conversation in the kitchen at dinner time. Seth’s favorite foods are pizza, potatoes, casseroles and Taco Bell while mine are black bean burgers, Thai noodle salads, and sweet potato fries. He’s a great sport and eats whatever I put in front of him. IMG_2867

We have one dog named Walt. I never understood why people treated dogs like children until this fuzzball came into my life. You can follow him on Instagram, if you would like… yes, we’re actually those people.

I also do some freelance design work on the side for EdibleIndy magazine. It’s super fun and I encourage you to follow the Edible Communities if you want to learn more about local dining, food, and agriculture in your area.

Cheers!

  1. Nice to meet you! I’m a graphic designer who also loves food. I wouldn’t say I’m a healthy food fanatic, but due to illness, I’ve had to review what I eat. I also have a “meat and potatoes” husband who eats all my healthy food experiments.

  2. I love this idea because I haven’t seen a diet (like paleo and others) that I can really see myself sustaining in the long run. I combine a lot of differmt things, but bottom line is we try to eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits, and lots of fish and chicken! Anyway, looking forward to seeing your posts and I’ll probably be doing a few of your recipes fo sho! I can’t wait to try them.

  3. I sure love who you are and am excited about trying recipes from someone I know I can trust. Don’t label me or my diet, man! Just let me be as healthy (and tasty) as possible. 🙂
